About HISTEM2026
STEM education has had explosive growth in K-12 schools, universities, as well as leading technical and digital job sectors. This shift marks a widening gap between STEM fields and the humanities – a trend that has been accelerating since the WHO announced an end to COVID-19 just three years ago.
This new global landscape of STEM Education in the post-pandemic era has hastened the creation of innovative digital tools to use in a rapidly expanding virtual world of learning and sharing ideas. STEM educators are witnessing a shift to real-world learning, project-based learning, blended learning, and virtual learning.
STEM Education represents a fantastic future of opportunities with the rise of AI in curriculum design, VR and AR labs, gamification, digital business, human-centered design thinking, hands-on coding and robotics, and even language learning, to name a few. It’s an exciting era in which the way we teach, and the way we learn is being transformed by technology, creativity, collaboration and innovation.
With the theme of Breaking Down Barriers, HISTEM2026 encourages academics, educators, researchers, administrators and other professionals from around the world to join us Honolulu, Hawaii this coming November 25-27, 2026 for this special, micro-symposium event on STEM Education.
