Welcome to ICELL2026
Welcome to the 3rd International Conference on Education and Language Learning in a Post-COVID World. ICELL2026 will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, October 28-30, 2026 at Kyoto Research Park in Kyoto, Japan. ICELL2026 is a small, intimate international, peer-reviewed engagement for educators, academics, researchers, students and others who desire to improve teaching quality, student engagement and access to education in the aftermath of the global pandemic.
ICELL2026 History and Purpose
The International Conference on Education and Language Learning in a Post-COVID World is part of a three-year study. It was first held in Nagoya, Japan in 2024. In 2025, it was held online from Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Thus, ICELL2026 marks the third and final installment of this three-year study to gather educators, academics, researchers and students to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on education and language learning across all education levels, settings and environments.
The pandemic is regarded as the biggest wake up call for global education in the last 100 years. Yet, educators and students have displayed incredible resilience and innovation by adapting to the limitations imposed upon the traditional classroom. The challenges of the lessons learned since the pandemic outbreak began in late 2019 require a holistic perspective that embraces the critical relationship between the teacher and the learner. Thus, the purpose of this small, intimate conference on education and language learning is to provide an intimate platform for discussing both the challenging problems in teaching as well as innovative techniques and solutions in this post-pandemic age.
With the theme of ‘Brave New World,’ the 3rd International Conference on Education and Language Learning in a Post-COVID World welcomes proposals of up to 300 words in English for oral, poster and online presentations. The deadline for proposals is Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
