Welcome to the 3rd Asian Symposium on the Humanities and Arts for Peace. All sessions will be held at the Nagoya Sakae Tokyu REI Hotel on Sunday, December 3 and Monday December 4, 2017. The hotel can be easily accessed by public transportation and it is located in the heart of the shopping and entertainment district of downtown Nagoya.
Following the opening remarks and plenary presentations, we will have dinner in a traditional Japanese style restaurant in downtown Nagoya. The menu will include both Japanese and Western dishes. The welcome dinner is a ticketed event not included in the registration fee. Tickets must be reserved in advance and purchased in Japanese yen cash at the registration table. The price per ticket is 3500 JPY.

Nagoya Tokyu REI is located in the city center’s Sakae district, east of Nagoya station, a bustling area with many offices, hot shopping spots, and dining opportunities. At just a seven-minute walk from Sakae and Fushimi subway stations, the hotel has 297 rooms. Amenities include Satellite TV (regular channels and VOD) , refrigerator, hair dryer, pants press, bidet, LAN cable, coffee/tea set, slippers, body wash, facial & hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush set, razor, shower cap, hair brush, body sponge, Q-tips, laundry service and nightwear. It is not required to stay at the venue hotel. All participants are responsible for making his or her own hotel reservation. The cost of the hotel room is not included in the registration fee. Any guestroom changes, cancellations, disputes, etc., are the participant’s responsibility.
There are hundreds of other hotels in Nagoya metropolitan area. The Nagoya Sakae Tokyu REI is centrally located and within easy access of public transportation or walking from nearby hotels. Please consult a travel agent or an online travel website to find alternate hotels.
